"At the 2006 Graduation ceremony, I was privileged and pleased to be able to host my dear friend and colleague, Prof. Max Boese of Potsdam, Germany as a visiting scholar. He was thrilled to be able to participate in the ceremonies. We stood for a photo at the 'Owl' at Founder's Garden on campus. For Prof. Boese this day was a high point for him. He loved to work with Temple German students and share his knowledge, and delighted in his time at Temple. Prof. Boese passed away November 2008. ..."

I had two of the best writing teachers in the world -- Ed McFall, former UPI bureau chief, and Michael Elkin, arts and entertainment editor for the Jewish Exponent. I owe all the writing awards and successes I've had to them! ..."
