President's Welcome
Temple University has reached a remarkable milestone—125 years of excellence in education, research and service. Begun with just a handful of students, Temple today is the 28th largest university and the fifth largest provider of professional education in the United States. The university and health system generate $5.3 billion toward the state, national and world economy, and more than 37,000 students study at nine campuses worldwide. Temple faculty members are creating new knowledge that drives innovation, Temple alumni are influential in their professions and their communities, and our students are already demonstrating great promise as the next generation of leaders for our global society. Temple’s reach is impressive, and we continue to explore new opportunities every day. Community engagement—always a priority at Temple—is expanding as we collaborate with local organizations to serve the needs of our neighbors near and far.
