1990s

}
 

1992:

Fencing won the NCAA championship in foil competition.

1993:

The master of trial advocacy was established, and is the only accredited such program in the United States.

1994:

A semesterlong law program in Tokyo, Japan, was established—the first such program offered by an American law school in Asia.

1996:

Temple Health Connection, a nursing center near Main Campus, was established as a joint venture of the Department of Nursing and the Philadelphia Housing Authority.

1997:

Pennsylvania’s first-ever U.S.-Europe distance learning classroom teleconferenced from Main Campus to Rome.

1998:

The College of Science and Technology was established.

The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management was established.

The first degree-granting law education program for Chinese lawyers in the People’s Republic of China was established.

The departments of the College of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (HPERD), which was established in 1974, were redistributed to Temple's other schools and colleges.

1999:

The Master of Laws program for Chinese students in Beijing established. It is the first and only foreign law degree-granting program in China.
